The top five NAND flash vendors grew second-quarter revenue 76 percent quarter over quarter to $68.7B, according to TrendForce, as AI demand stretched a market starved of new capacity.
Samsung led with NAND revenue up 70.7 percent to nearly $23.06B. SK hynix rose 89.5 percent to $14.27B, and Micron climbed 99.2 percent to $11.85B.
Suppliers are directing capital spending toward DRAM and HBM, leaving NAND capacity tight, TrendForce said. That restraint should let average selling prices follow overall industry revenue growth in the third quarter.
The surge extends a boom that has already reshaped memory rankings, with YMTC overtaking Micron and Kioxia for third place in NAND shipments earlier this month and DRAM prices climbing sharply through August.
