Micron’s corporate venture arm now manages $550M in commitments after opening its largest vehicle yet, a $250M fund aimed at the AI stack.
The Paradigm Fund, the third from Micron Ventures, follows Fund I from 2019 and Fund II from 2022, the latter still putting money to work. Its mandate spans model architectures, compute infrastructure, enterprise applications, and physical AI.
Micron says the fund is organized around four domains where AI progress will reshape memory and storage requirements. The structure is designed to pull the company into deeper partnerships with startups and give it early visibility into technologies that will define AI infrastructure.
Rene Hartner, vice president of corporate development, describes the moment as a run of paradigm shifts that all land on the same need: memory and storage that can keep pace with reasoning, acting, and physical-world AI systems.
For Micron the bet is strategic. Watching startups from the inside lets the company steer its product roadmap toward the workloads that will actually emerge, rather than waiting for demand to arrive unannounced.
