TrendForce’s quarterly scorecard shows DRAM vendors banking close to $154.73B in the second quarter of 2026, a haul powered by contract prices that climbed 59.5 percent from the first quarter. Stockpiles across the industry sit close to record lows, and the limited added supply is largely reserved for server contracts.

Samsung held the top spot with $60.98B of DRAM revenue, a 63.4 percent sequential gain that put its share at 39.4 percent. SK hynix banked $38.59B, up 37.9 percent for 24.9 percent of the market. Micron grew the fastest of the three, adding 65.5 percent to land at $36.0B and a 23.3 percent share.

Third-quarter growth is set to slow but stay steep. TrendForce forecasts conventional DRAM contract prices will climb 13 to 18 percent sequentially, with consumer DRAM posting the strongest gains because suppliers have curtailed that output hardest.

The numbers extend a price spiral already visible on store shelves. PC builders and phone makers have been passing memory costs to buyers for months, and the research firm expects the three major suppliers to keep the squeeze on through next year.

Looking two years out, TrendForce expects the top three to grow output mostly by shifting production to more advanced process nodes, with little fresh capacity coming online. That leaves scant room for inventories to rebuild, which the firm says points to more record quarters ahead.
